We as a dental team here in Eastbourne, had a Dementia Training course in October which was very interesting and informative. All the staff became Dementia Friends, which is an initiative run by the Alzheimer’s Society. Whose aims are to raise awareness of dementia, turning your understanding into a commitment to action and creating dementia friendly communities.  All dentists, nurses and the reception team completed a ‘Dementia Friendly Physical Environments Questionnaire’ to find any improvements we could make to our practice that will help to improve accessibility for people with Dementia.
