Making our practice more sustainable Posted on July 15, 2019 by Rebecca Nicholas Steps we have already taken: Bicycle parking in the front garden Digital radiographs (reducing our chemical use) Turning off appliances when not in use Recycle where possible (labelling bins correctly) Using email/text messages and telephone calls instead of letters Reducing our Amalgam use Not overfilling kettles Insect-friendly plants and flowers in our garden Discussing ways to improve our sustainability during staff meetings Eco-friendly paper cups in the Waiting Room Steps we are aiming for: Reducing our paper waste (double sided printing etc.) Purchase environmentally friendly products for our stock e.g. Bamboo Toothbrushes Use LED lighting throughout the practice Double glaze windows (this is an ongoing project as some have already been done) When purchasing new equipment aim for durable, low kilowatt rating items with a long warranty Encourage staff and patients to walk/cycle to the practice Reducing our plastic waste Carrying out patient surveys (patients opinions on how we are doing) Categories: Uncategorized No comments yet, why not be the first?
